Kat graduated in 1985 from NCTC with a degree in Legal Secretarial Science. She worked in several law offices and then made a career change to Greenheck Fan Corporation in Wausau, WI. For a few years, she was a stay-at-home mom and then joined forces with her sister at Christopher’s Restaurant in Coleman. In 2000, Kat and her family moved to Iron River, Michigan, where Kat was the business manager for Ski Brule for 3 years.
Home kept calling, so in 2003, they moved back to Coleman and Kat worked for Eslien Law Offices until 2005 when the opportunity came up for her and her sister to purchase TimePlus Payroll of Green Bay. As a client of TimePlus Payroll (in the restaurant) she knew the value of outsourcing payroll and was very excited to be able to help other business owners succeed and grow their businesses. Eventually, the sisters split the business and TimePlus Payroll became Wisconsin Pay Specialists.
In 2010 a client requested property management services and Kat and her staff took on the challenge and jumped in with both feet. Today, along with the payroll and bookkeeping, the crew manages over 50 properties for various owners. In the fall of 2013, Kat became a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) through the American Payroll Association and continues to learn and stay on top of the ever-changing payroll laws and regulations.
Kat, a wife, mother of three daughters, horse owner and now a grandma, loves to be with her family. She is an active member of St Anne Parish in Coleman and volunteers many hours to the SHINE mission group which brings teens to different cities across America helping the needy.
Kayla joined forces with WI Pay in April 2017. Currently an accounting student at UWGB, Kayla has managed numerous small businesses for the past 10 years and is a great fit for us!
Starting as a payroll processor, Kayla has taken over the roles of payroll tax management, quarterly and annual reconciliations, setting up of new clients and virtually all non-payday issues. She is also our go-to person for timekeeping imports, ShareFile issues and many other IT type concerns.
Kayla resides in Coleman with her husband, two beautiful daughters and a black lab, Buck. For fun, Kayla likes to bow hunt, take a spin on her four-wheeler and hang with her family. Teaching Sunday School and cleaning her house is considered her down time.
Elysia joined WI Pay’s team in September 2017. Elysia works in the Property Management division and is a support person for our bookkeeping and payroll services. She is extremely organized and helps keep things moving smoothly.
Elysia’s family owned and operated a family restaurant which gave her an opportunity to learn QuickBooks and the ins and outs of running a successful business. In 2015 they closed the restaurant and converted it into a cabin for rent to join their existing 4 cabins.
With a husband and two children, Elysia is always on the go. She enjoys photography, cooking and volunteering at the school.
Katie joined WIPay Specialists in April of 2020 as a payroll specialist.
After graduating in 1994 with an Associate’s Degree as an administrative professional, Katie has worked in offices for the transportation and healthcare industry, and most recently in local government. While learning all the ins and outs of payroll, she continues to work as a Municipal Court Clerk serving the municipalities of the Villages of Coleman and Crivitz, and the Towns of Beaver, Brazeau, and Pound.
Katie has a son and two daughters and enjoys playing piano, reading, riding motorcycles, and trips to any warm beach.
Nicole joined Wisconsin Pay Specialists in February 2021.
Before joining WI Pay Nicole worked actively on a dairy farm for several years until she decided on a career change. She attended NWTC and graduated with a technical diploma in the Accounting Assistant program. She dove headfirst into our Property Management division. With her strong organizational skills and drive, Nicole strives to provide the best service to tenant’s and owner’s.
Nicole resides in Lena with her husband and two children. She loves spending time with her family, writing, being outdoors, and caring for her dogs, goats, chickens, and horse.
Whitney joined Wisconsin Pay Specialists in April 2021. She grew up in Coleman and attended UW-Whitewater for social work and received her master’s degree at George Williams College of Aurora University. Whitney spent five years in the social work field in Southern Wisconsin. Life threw a few curveballs her way and she moved back home and started doing bookkeeping while helping family members. Thankfully, her family members have been recovered, and Whitney was able to go back to work full time and chose to stay in the bookkeeping field.
Whitney has a passion for helping others and is happy that she can continue to help others through volunteering.
Whitney resides in Coleman with her cat, GoGo. She enjoys reading, gardening, hanging with family and watching her little cousins grow up.
Judy, with a background in Leadership, Management, Training, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Accounting and Reporting brings her experience and skills to Wisconsin Pay Specialists. With a rewarding career in the travel, meetings, group travel escorting and hospitality industry, she joins our team in operations, sales and marketing.
Other areas Judy has worked in part time include work for a tax preparer, inventory in large retail, mortgage finance for home building and assisting her husband who provides aeration and pond care systems and solutions at Glen Krueger Windmills. She has also been a volunteer Ambassador for the Greater Green Bay and Marinette-Menominee Chamber of Commerce, and local Cougar Country Business Association.
She enjoys time with family and friends, travel, reading and baking, extra time with grandchildren and great nieces and nephews, and community volunteering.
Meet Cooper! Coop, our office Golden-Doodle greets our visitors at the door. He is also responsible for PMA (positive mental attitude), reminding us when it is lunch time and encouraging us to get up and get moving throughout the day. The rest of us strive to be as enthusiastic about our work as Cooper is about his!
